What is different at the food fair this year?
Of course, the corona pandemic does not leave Anuga Meat without a trace. For this reason there is not the usual number of exhibitors this year. But with suppliers from more than 30 countries, the fair is still well equipped for its visitors.
What other challenges are there?
Discussions about working conditions in meat plants
Discussions about animal welfare
African swine fever
Price volatility, i.e. the tendency towards price increases and decreases
Change in eating culture due to reduced meat consumption
The last challenge in particular is reflected at the fair for food and beverages. In addition to the classic suppliers of meat and sausage, the trade fair offers insights into meat-free trends and innovations.
Who will be guests at Anuga Meat?
Well-known meat and sausage producers such as BRF, Citterio, Elpozo and Tönnies take part both physically and digitally. The main representatives come from countries such as
Argentina,
Belgium,
Brazil,
Germany,
France,
Italy,
Spain,
Turkey and
United States
Other well-known manufacturers have announced their participation digitally as part of Anuga @home.
There is also a lot going on this year in the area of sustainable and healthy nutrition. Therefore there will be a new area “Meet more Meatless”. He focuses on meat alternatives and products. Exhibitors include companies such as Meatless Farm, Phuture Foods, Planterra and Vivera.
For more reach and the opportunity to make new contacts, this year there will be the digital showroom Anuga @home in Halls 5.2, 6 and 9 of the Cologne exhibition center in addition to the presence fair.
The physical Anuga Meat is open from October 9th to 13th, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The hybrid event can be attended from October 11th to 13th, 2021. Only trade visitors have access.
